This sallah (Eid) is the most
celebrated Eid of all time, upon all the isolation and the pandemic in mind people
showed their colorful faces in pictures… You will agree with me if you are a whatsapp,
Facebook, or Instagram user. You will find more than 30 beautiful stories in
those media platforms.
There were controversies about
moon sighting, some people observed Eid before the actual day because there was
an error (when the rest of us are taking our 30th others were
feasting). For the first time people were observing their Eid prayer at home,
we never witnessed such in our life. Other events were hosted all in the name
of the celebration, family & friends coming together. Maybe it is because
people were locked in their homes for an unexpected long period of time and it
made us want to socialize OR show our beautiful faces even more than before.
A normal day Eid, you will make &
pick calls, send & return sms’s, visit family & friends, and then the social
media. Even before with Facebook in place
people do post their Eid celebration pictures but now it’s an entire diverse
thing. Where social media handles are turn into gorgeous galleries within two
to three days of the Eid. This is always amazing to see happiness everywhere,
the kind of happiness that will take your mind off COVID19 or the likes of it. I
hope we have a better future after this, I hope we learn a lot from this, and I
hope we will always have better leadership.
